Yesterday we arrived at Tel Aviv, Israel around 17.30 p.m. We drove to the Dead Sea where we stayed one night in Ein Bokek. This morning, after floating in the Dead Sea we left off in the direction of Ein Gedi. Here we walked along the stream of David. Afterwards we drove to Eilat where we will stay for the rest of the week. In total we have seen 15 new species until now: White-spectacled bulbul, Tristram's grackle, Rock Martin, Little green-bee eater, Blackstart, Fan-tailed Raven, Desert Lark, Palestine Sunbird, Graceful Prinia, Brown-necked Raven, Arabian Babbler, Cyprus Warbler, Southern race of Great Grey Shrike, Clamourous Reed Warbler and Mourning Wheatear.
Furthermore we've seen species such as Spectacled Warbler, Laughing Dove, Isabelline Wheatear, Desert Wheatear, Black Kites, 30 White Storks, Griffon Vulture, White-crowned Black Wheatear, Red-throated pipit and much more!!
Tomorrow we'll be ringing at the IBCRE, hopefully we'll catch something nice!
