It's been a long time since my last blog post! This was due to a lot of things.. The last two weeks of May I had my exams and in the first week of June I was on holiday to Lloret de Mar, in short: I didn't watch/or ring any birds in this period haha! Today was my first ringing session since a couple of weeks again. For a special project, about the influence of artificial light on bird migration, I ring birds at a new site, near Radio Kootwijk, on the Veluwe. Today was the first time I ringed there so I was very excited.
We trapped a good amount of birds when you realise that the site is situated on the Veluwe, amongst rather poor forests and heathland.
